Never send passwords, full payment-card details or App Store credentials.
Shooting or dribbling is not detected
Hold the phone securely in portrait orientation. Start with a controlled, short movement rather than a full-arm swing. For dribbling, face the screen upward and use a steady down-up wrist rhythm. For shooting, aim at the hoop and use a short forward wrist release. Stop immediately if the device feels insecure.
The AR hoop does not stay in place
Use an evenly lit area with visible floor texture. Move the camera slowly across the floor until tracking stabilizes, then place the hoop and step back. Avoid reflective, transparent or featureless surfaces. Rendered Court remains available without camera permission.
Restore an App Store purchase
Open Customize, then Purchases, and select Restore Purchases while signed into the Apple ID used for the original transaction. Consumable coin packs cannot be restored after consumption. If an eligible item remains missing, include the product name and approximate purchase date in your support email, but do not attach full payment details.
Request account or ranking deletion
Email privacy@playhoopshot.com with the subject “Hoop Shot Data Request”. We may ask for limited app information to locate the correct anonymous account. Deleting the app alone removes local data but may not remove an online ranking account or historical ranking records.
Safety while using motion controls
Keep a firm grip, use a protective case or wrist strap where possible, maintain clear space around you and avoid exaggerated releases. Do not use motion controls while walking, near traffic, at height or close to people, animals or fragile objects.
